Chennai witnessed a significant boost to its growing reputation as a deep-tech innovation hub today, as Big Bang Boom Solutions Private Limited (BBBS) inaugurated its advanced research and development facility, SHAKTI – Solutions Hub for Advanced Knowledge, Technology & Innovation..

Located in Pallikaranai, the state-of-the-art 20,000 Sq. Feet facility, that can house 200+ Engineers
marks a major milestone in the company’s expansion and reinforces its commitment to strengthening India’s indigenous technological capabilities in critical sectors..

The inauguration ceremony was led by Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary of the Technology Development Board (TDB), who emphasized the importance of industry-led innovation in achieving technological self-reliance. Addressing the gathering, he noted that “initiatives like SHAKTI are pivotal in bridging the gap between research and real-world deployment, particularly in strategic sectors”..

He also congratulated the team, stating, “I would like to congratulate the BBBS team on building this

The event was also graced by renowned space scientist Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, popularly known as the “Moon Man of India,” who currently serves as Principal Advisor for Space Initiatives at BBBS. Sharing his perspective on the significance of such initiatives, he stated, “Facilities such as SHAKTI play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s defence and space technology ecosystem, bringing
together talented minds and advanced capabilities to build solutions that enhance our nation’s self- reliance in critical technologies, in the challenging world order that is emerging.” Their presence underscored the collaborative synergy between government, industry, and scientific leadership in advancing frontier technologies..

Senior representatives from various Tamil Nadu government bodies, including StartupTN and the Industries Department, were also in attendance, highlighting the state’s continued support for innovation-driven enterprises.

The SHAKTI R&D hub is designed to serve as a nucleus for cutting-edge research across multiple domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Systems, Electronic Warfare, Material Science, Nano Technologies, Quantum, Nuclear and Space Technologies. The facility aims to accelerate the development of next-generation solutions aligned with national priorities, particularly in defence and strategic applications.
Speaking at the inauguration, company leadership highlighted BBBS’s journey as one of India’s fastest-growing defence technology firms, with multiple iDEX wins and successful collaborations with the Indian Armed Forces. The new hub is expected to significantly enhance the company’s capabilities in developing scalable, mission-critical technologies..
